does anybody in texas know if you can do defensive driving to lower the price or how not to make my insurance skyrocket

In Texas you have 2 options.
First is defensive Driving. As long as you haven't done it withing a certain period(It's either 1 or 2 years). I recommend the DVD from Blockbuster or the Comedy Driving School(online or in person).
Second is deferred adjudication. Basically, you pay a fee which is about as much as your ticket for this, and you're put on probation for a certain length of time(usually 3,6, or 9 months). As long as you don't get any more tickets before your probationary period is up, the ticket disappears off your record like it never happened.
Both of these options cost a good chunk of change but they are better than your insurance going up.

talk to the prosecuter.... the court just wants the money. Plea out to whatever has 0 points( its worth it in the long run) More than likely going to cost you $500-$600, and pay it up that day! I know its hard to do, but all in all it avoids so much stressssss in the long run which can last 1-4 years or so. Every route from this point is going to cost you. Its just if you get it done now, or over time and end up paying way more somehow/someway. Ive been through/ or seen many cases like this and figured this was the cheapest route. (by the way...Ive eaten x2 "80 in a 50mph" tickets in 6 days!) Some officers depending on time of month lol, tend to trump up tickets here in jersey!

If he does one of the options I listed above he doesn't even have to talk to the DA's office. He'll call the court and the clerk will handle it all for him. Texas really just wants their money.

Get a radar detector, it's like a 400 dollar investment for a good one, but I guess it's worth it if it saves you from even one ticket. They're legal in all 50 states I'm pretty sure, but you should double check that. As for right now, just pay the ticket I guess.

A tip when speeding on roads where cops can be hidden is slow down everytime you see one of those No U-Turn signs on the interstate 'cause cops are usually hiding behind trees there (at least in the Northeast).

False.

Ordinarily, you could do defensive driving and have the ticket dropped completely. You can do that once a year, but you screwed yourself on that one. You cannot take defensive driving and have the ticket dropped if you're doing 25 or more over the limit. With it being that excessive, I would just expect to pay the fine. It's not like you accidentally eased over the speed limit, not paying attention or something. It's a blatant disregard for the law, and they will likely just fine you accordingly.
