front hood question

The front part of my hood ( the part where u slip ya hand under to open the hood) doesn't fit perfect to the bottom part can I bang that out to make it fit? ????? Or do I have to buy a whole new hood

I used the board method. But prozon is right, take your time.

Get it hot with a hairdryer or heat gun and tap it.

I don't think i've ever used a heat gun to shape metal. Usually I just put something on the back side and tap it. I used a blow torch when I was patching up my fender wells, but that wouldn't be a real good idea if you plan to keep your paint. :thumbs up

I tired today with hammer didn't work out .... ima go get a mallet (rubber) and have at it tomorrow
