fresh built b18a1 wont start

so i have a freshly built b18a1 new pistons ring bearings gaskets plugs wires. the engine ran before i took it apart so i am using the same old dizzy. now the problem it wont start i have checked every thing 10 times and im lost on what to do. i have spark and gas the car almost starts but dont if that makes sense, oh and when i was checking spark the number 1 plug was out and the car turned over and it ran for a sec i had to cut it off but when i put the plug back in no go. i checked the main relay and it seems to be working fine the fuel pump turns on and im not getting any codes or the check engine light, iv checked all the grounds and added some of my own i double check the timing and it looks good. iv worked on a few cars but this is my first acura/honda so im new to this seen pls help i spent alot of time and effort on this project.


oh and if it matters i had the head resurfaced to......

Did you set your valve lash after putting the timing belt back on? It may be set too tight and you might not be building compression in those cylinders. That would prevent it from running.
