fix it ticket from hell!!!!

nasty story, four months ago when my 98 ls teggy was drivable i got a window tint ticket. in CA you can have absolutey no form of tint on the front left & right windows. mine were limo'd so it was a matter of time. i proceed to take the tint off and get it signed off from a cop @ the dept. mail in the $25 and ticket and asume all is good. right? hell no! on the ticket that they issued me gives a court appearance date if you feel like pleading not guilty and fight it. time is money for me so the earlier statement shows i wasn't going to do that. well the date passes and by the way they deposited my $25 check i sent and i get a letter saying my license is suspended do to a FTA (failure to appear)! so i go to court state my case showed all the evidence even the deposit of my check on my bank statement and the verdict was...... quote " well Mr. Camarokid_67 with the facts provided i am going to waiver the FTA fees of $75 but the state civil assessment fee can not be waiver'd." how much is that u ask?.......... $ 3 8 7 !!!!!! that my friends is called takin it right in the pooper!

i went to jail cause my e-pass didnt register at the toll booth and apparently there was a ticket (that never came to my house). my license was suspended and i didnt even know. long story short, by a machine error i spent 2 nights in jail (i didnt want to pay the money for bond) and 500 dollars in court fees. + the ticket 100$+the ticket for driving with a suspended license. recently found out i'm not the only one and people are sueing the city. lol

many courts know that you cannot afford the time off from work or afford a lawyer, etc. With that being said they slap tickets or fines on people knowing they cannot fight or that the actual cost to fight it is going to be more than the fines.

That's a bitch move. Did you show a bank statement with a deposit date and court date?
If the ticket was deposited prior to the court date, they cannot fine you.

Unless they check to see if it was removed. Depends on your city or county.

Just to clear up some things about California's tint law:

You can have as much tint as you like in the rear windows and any windows behind the driver side and shotgun side windows.
Those front windows can have 70% tint, because that allows 70% light in.

BTW 70% tint is like clear, its pointless really... I got 50% in my front windows, and its very light, it looks nice. Whole back side is limo tint lol

Oh and no windshield tint, if you havnt guessed by now.

I vote you appeal the ruling. Be a dick and take it to the highest court possible. If they wanna screw with you, be the biggest pain in the ass you can be to the courts within the limits of the law.
