First Car Need Some Help

I have a 89 integra Ls and it is my first car. Got her for 450 on craigslist and she 180,000 miles on her. As my first car I would really like to start modifying and making her my own but I'm not to sure what I should start with. A couple things I am for sure of though is that I do want to lower it, find a clean low profile spoiler for it, slap on some wheel spacers for that hella flush look and some bbs style rims. I would also like to do some performance upgrades aswell but just not sure which ones seeing as it is an automatic. I really would like this car to be more of a beautiful artistic statement than a speed deamon but speed is definety a good thing lol.

I am taking any suggestions as I am new to this type of thing so feel free to share in stored wisdom you have.

First do maintenance so it will actually go places, then worry about the style.
