finding good affordable performance parts

well im looking to find some affordable but good performance parts for my 94 tegra ls its in ok shape now but it could use some bueaty work and i want to make it feel young again lol but ne ways i have 300k on it now and it doesnt shift right (its automatic) for some reason it revs to about 4000 rpm for no reason and im not accelerating hard or anything.....

i want to do it right and i dont want to burn a whole in my pocket im not one with money that i can just put towards any old thing but i do want it to sparkle...

any websites or suggestion will help greatly!!!
