Find a used door handle

The inside door handle (driver side) of my 1990 Integra hatchback was broken. I've tried tp locate an used part from local junkyards with no luck because the 1990 model is really old. There are not many 1990 models can be found in the junk yards. Even I can find the same car, most of the useful parts have already been stripped out. Surprisinly when I called the local Acura dealers (4 of them) and they all replied that they have parts in stock but the cost is $51+ tax. That's pretty expensive! Nevetheless, it makes me think that there could be one or more newer Acura models that also uses the same parts. Does anyone be able to help me to find out which model(s) will also use the same handle that I may be able to find the same part from the junk cards? A junk yard usually charges about $10-$15 for this piece of door handle. Any information that help will be appreciated.

try car-part.com site is for used parts from junkyards all over the place, i am sure u can find one there and at a good price. broken door handles suck dont they? lol good luck man.

Thanks for your suggestion. I did try the car-part.com and found one junkyard that has the door handle I want. However, that junkyard is 200 miles away from my home. When you calculate the gasoline cost plus the time you spend to get there, it turns out that buying a new part is even cheaper than get it from the junkyard.

If I will be ble to find out what are the other acura models also use the same door handle, I may have better chance to get the same part from the junkyard...

they should be able to ship it to you. i just got a rear caliper shipped to me from the other side of pa. good luck though. maybe try earlier civic cause i know we share some of the same parts with those earlier models.

to make it easier, im in erie pa. and i got one from york, pa....about lower middle of pa. u can pick ur state to find one or search global like in canada etc. with car-part.com
