Been a little while since I came here, Completely forgot about the site until a few days ago.

But, I have parts for the car. YEA! I was supposed to work on her Sunday, but ended up over sleeping. so will be doing it today instead. Bought a new radiator, thermostat w/gasket, water pump, new oil filter, new oil, intake manifold gasket and some other odds and ends.

Can't wait to start doing some more work on her. Ordering A interior door handle from the dealer, and going to hit up the yard for a hood and driver side fender that don't have as bad of dents in them. or non at all if I'm very lucky. Also going to get new hydro lifts for the trunk.

So I'm taking the head apart, and going to get in resurfaced and replace the head gasket while its off. Had a question about what you guys do for your timing? Do you just set TDC and pull the camshafts off?

I have the dizzy off, and the vacuum hoses dc'd and the valve cover now off. Just got to start on the cam holders. I have the manual in front for the pattern I have to follow along with the trq specs I need to follow after installation.

Well almost finished, Gotta pick up a better tool set though, the one I have is terrible, striped it out working. so probably grab a craftsman or something similar.

Of course I'm sure most of you have seen this a million times by now.

I'll be dropping the head off at a shop soon, and will be picking up the rest of the parts for the rebuild come next pay check.

While it took a few days to take her apart, was very enjoyable the whole thing.
