failed emmisions

They said my idle emmisions were too high which means its running lean can I just adjust my idle control valve?

it failed the HydroCarbon test because the idle emissions were 317 (PPM) when the limit is 220 (PPM) All the CO & O2 test were fine

you have an emissions test on an 87 model car? wow.... no further comments, we don't test emissions where i live.

high HC readings are caused by partially burned fuel, check for ignition system failure (plugs and wires)
