Expansion/Freeze Plug location

early this morning my car had to be pulled home by my friends truck, we think it blew a Expansion/Freeze Plug because every bit of water i put in pours out onto the ground immediately i am almost 100% sure it is a freeze plug because the car didnt get that hot, it just started to climb, so i shut it down and put it in neutral and just coasted with no power to the car for 3 miles going down a large hill. can someone tell me where they are located, how to get them out and how to get these in? http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/SPO0/3818065/02268.oap?year=1989&make=Acura&model=Integra&vi=1000135&ck=Search_02268_1000135_1700&pt=02268&ppt=C0367

Or tell me if you think its something else

LOL @ your diagnosis. Coolant isnt behind those plugs.

Sounds like you blew a hose or radiator end tank. You need to locate the source of the leak. Stick the garden hose in the radiator and keep filling it as the engine is idling to keep it filled then try and locate the leak. And before some smart ass tells me you shouldnt run on just water, obviously flush and replace with 50/50 coolant once you've repaired the leak.

I really dont think you blew a freeze plug. I would think your thermostat housing was leaking severely before I would think your freeze plug.

You might be able to just take the top radiator hose from the radiator and spray down the hose with the garden hose and possibly find the source that way without even having to start it. The forward pressure might be enough for you to find it

Hopefully its a simple as a hose clamp came loose or something and not a freeze plug or crack or something ridiculously rare

Ill get you a picture of how mine are tomorrow, so that youll know what im talking about exactly. The good news is I replace every radiator hose on the car except for the lower one is going to have to wait a while, now there is no leaks what so ever, except my power steering but next month im overhauling the entire power steering system(lines, pump, fluid tank etc.) Because im sick of hearing it whine when my honda civic, my acura legend, my honda accord, all did not whine. so hopefully i can get it to stop whining, then im going to replace my alternator with the original brackets, and while im at it ill probably get a cruise control system to. Then all my electronics will be working, my belt wont screech when I start it, and by the end, my car will be painted, and everything else. Maybe i should do a restoration thread.

Well you dont want the tension too tight cause it will stress the belt which from what ive seen is always the problem when it comes to the squelch. Its either strssed from being too tight or running dry. Best thing to do because its already stressed is to just replace it and get the tension doen by a mechanic or get a tensioner

Well i start my new job today so I cant do much to my car today + its raining anyway so really sucks there. But ill be making enough money to where in one week of work i can get two new tires in the front cause yesterday i got two of them in the rear, get new struts put on, new tie rods, cv axles, and all the steering components, and still have about 350-500 dollars left in my pocket
