Exhaust, what do you recommend?

Looking to buy exhaust. Car has an AEM SRI and Comptech headers (on the car when I bought it). I was only able to find one place online selling comptech exhaust setups, it was kind of expensive. But I've heard it's better to have matching headers and exhaust.

Should I save up for the comptech? Where's a good place to find their exhaust products?

Should I sell the headers I have and buy a different H/E setup?

Is it fine to mix N match the H/E?

Just wondering what people think. Thanks.

Its not a problem to mix and match exhaust, but Hytech just proved that matching exhaust makes better power. Of course also the exhaust is tuned to the specific camshafts/engine combination.

Just make sure you get the same size or larger diameter piping. If you like N1 style exhaust I'd recommend the Skunk2 Megapower over the Apexi N1.

But if I were you I'd scrap the SRI and get a Comptech Icebox, then a Comptech cat-back and you'd have the triple play.

RSR ExMag, or APEXi WS2 would be my choices

or if you're wanting as quiet as possible, ITR header back

Headers and exhausts don't have to brand match, just as long as the two are properly sized to work well with each other.
Comptech is a high quality brand, that header is awesome, I wouldn't sell it. Comptech doesn't exist anymore, that's why it's hard to find their product. But it's high quality stuff, they didn't go out of business because they suck, believe me.

The size of exhaust you should get depends on how far you plan on going with your mods and where you want your powerband to be in the RPM range. We don't even know what kind of Integra you have.

Fair enough on all accounts.

DC2 GSR. Yeah, I really like the comptech heads too, would prefer to hold onto them. For the time being I'm not doing anything beyond bolt ons as far as the engine goes. I'm building the car first, getting everything else ready and then adding power. But I'd like to have the main 3, I/H/E.

That said I'm not looking for cheap parts either. I like the N1 style. How does it perform? From what I've read here and elsewhere it seems like a pretty popular choice. I'm mostly just street driving, might go to an open track day once or twice a year, but not often.

I also don't want to be making lots of noise when I'm just driving casually. Something that rips when I'm on it, but doesn't annoy when just cruising. Would chambered be better then?

Anyone happen to know the diameter of the comptech? Thanks for the input, appreciate it.

From what you're asking, it looks like the WS2 would be the best choice.

i have had a shitload of exhausts and it all depends on what sound you want and how loud you want it.

i have had:
Skunk2 megapower twice !
Apexi N1
DC Sports catback
RSR exmag
DNX cheapo catback

like i said it all depends on your personal taste i dont agree with coy that the N1 was quiet because mine was not quiet at all any straight through isnt going to be quiet. RSR was by far the most quiet but want for me it was a little too quiet i currently have the skunk2 and i like it nice and deep and way better sounding than the N1 but i am currently looking to get a WS2 like matts or an SP2 or a hyper super medallion.
