Exhaust question, bad muffler rattle

So when I was getting my car Turbo'd last year I was in a hurry to find a 3" exhaust in a hurry because the one I had been planning on didn't go through. I had to purchase a crappy eBay exhaust of a craigslist guy brand new that was 3" and fit up, and just had a v band welded on to fit up with the custom 3" downpipe.

To my question:
My muffler is rattling inside due to bad quality, so my two options as of now are to order a full new exhaust (I plan to go with the skunk 2 mega power RR). Or go with just the muffler of that exhaust which sells for only $150 and I can have welded on.

Will there be a huge sound difference if I go with just the muffler apposed to the full exhaust? I'm worried the bad quality of my current exhaust will hinder sound quality by using bad metals possibly?

Thanks for any help or opinions!

Either way I'm going to go with the same new muffler (the skunk2) but my question is will I notice a huge difference in sound with going with all new piping on the full new exhaust, apposed to just welding the new skunk2 muffler on my current piping? As far as raspiness or anything, that is what I mean when I say sound quality

Cheaper quality piping is thinner and therefore will have a different sound. Also it is more likely to break later on. Just get the full exhaust. I have the skunk2 mega power RR and it is very high quality. Sounds good NA too, so i imagine turbo will make it sound even better.

Thanks Nick! I'll just order the full thing then!
