exhaust issue

my 90 gs recently passed smog like a week or so ago...
but the exhasut leaks this blackis mixture off the tail pipe...
when i turn it on and it idles thats when this happens.
they changed the cat converter and reduced the emissions on it as well so it can pass of course
.is this normal to happen or what would the problem be.any suggestions..thanks

sounds like it's burning rich. Check your air filter for one thing.

or change yur O2 sensor

the mechanic said there wasnt anything wrong wit da 02 sensor..it just does that when the engins is cold when i fire it up in the mornings

change your filter and your plugs. 25$ to make your ride run better.... its worth it.
