exhaust diameter

Hey guys, I have a 97 gsr with intake,header, test pipe, just lookin for some feedback on what piping diameter I should run. Only other mods I'm planning on doin are throttle body and maybe intake manifold, then getting a hondata, and tuning. I was leaning towards 2.5 in, good idea? Any help is appreciated, thanks

I'd use 2.36/2.38 piping. 2.5 inch is good for setups pushing 190whp and up.

the skunk 2 70mm exhaust system is really nice...i think thats like 2 3/4" perfect for all motor

i went with a 2.5 inside diameter and im very happy with mine... i didnt notice too much loss in throttle response.
i went custom with mine though and had a muffler shop make the pipes and hang the muffler.

yea I have a muffler shop do all my exhaust work so thats what I was planning on doing

and i also think that 2 3/4 is not perfect... maybe if your pushing upwards of 250 whp on all motor it is ok. but otherwise way to big....

60mm = 2.36 in.
60.5mm = 2.38 in.
