Engine rebuild kit?

basically my ls motor got 250k on it and i want to get a engine build kit.

here are examples of what im looking at.

basically i want to know is, will this make my engine run almost like new again when i replace all the internals and probably get a port and polish? because i want to make the engine last for a few more years before putting a GSR motor in when i save up. i don't have alot of money and i dont want to get another used motor since if i rebuild my current motor, it will be more reliable then a used motor swap, right?

please give me some good input, it'll really help me in my current situation :(

$366 to rebuild your motor, versus $500 to replace it. Take the $500 and subtract what you can sell the old motor for, and your looking better off replacing it. Thats what I'd do anyway. The JDM ones only have about 35,000 miles on them. LOTTA tread left on those tires.

i really dont want to swap motors right now though. the mileage was mainly from highway so the engine isn't too bad. it still runs good, so i was wondering if the engine rebuild kit + maintenance would really make it run as if it was new again.
