Engine cleaning?

but that article talks about removing hoses from the IM and pouring it in? u use simple green to clean and brighten up the outside of the engine right?

Yeah. I don't really go that in depth with it.

We also sprayed some kinda of engine cleaner foam from Zep chemicals and that seemed to work out pretty well.

SEAFOAM is the SHIT!!!! You can pour it in the gas tank, oil, or vaccum line. I poured a can slowly in a vaccum line while the car was running.. The Smoke scared the shit out of me at first. Pour in very slowly... Make sure the car is outside, because it will smoke like hell, for a little bit. The smoke doesn't last long. Mine was nasty. A 13 year old motor from Japan. Didn't affect my plugs at all. Motor sounds and feels great... I recommend. Can get it at pretty much all parts stores....

so when the article talks about unplugging hoses from the manifold, theyre vaccuum hoses? i guess i can figure.

That's where the seafoam went in my car.... There's different ways of doing it. I've heard pouring in vaccum line is the best.

I've never heard of this. You said you pour this in your gas tank? Does it clean out the whole system that way?
