Emergency Brake Problem

I have a 2000 Acura Integra LS and for some reason the emergency brake light stays on even when brake lever is down. It only does it in the morning when it is cold if that helps any. If anyone has an idea let me know because i dont know what would cause that thanks.

Is it an automatic? Mine does it all the time. I was told that it happens when the e-brake is not used a lot. Since I drive an auto, I almost never use my e-brake-hence the light comming on, especially those cold wisconsin winter morns.

its caused by moisture trapped in the brake fluid reservoir.. as the fluid get hotter it expands so no brake light, just change the brake fluid, fill it with new brake fluid.

You beat me to it, I was going to say that solved the problem in my teg.

Ya that is what is was thinking the same thing with the moisture. It seems like the only difference with the others and mine is that mine is a manual not and automatic
