Emblems

got some blue ones off a 1st Gen, the silver circle around one is kinda rough .. i was thinkin about painting the silver parts black and clear coating them so theyre black and blue. what would i use to mask off the blue area .. i was thinking elmers glue maybe and chipping it off afterwords ? give me suggestions and also what do you use to re mount them back on .. :roll:

Why would you mask with elmers glue? Go to Michaels, Wal*Mart, etc and get some blue painter's masking tape. cover up the blue part of your emblem with that, paint the emblem, then peel the paint off.

As for mounting them back on, while your at the store, pick up some 3M heavy duty double-sided adhesive tape. It runs for about 4 bucks for a large roll. You can apply 2 strips to the back of the emblem and cut the excess off with a razor.

or MASKING tape < get it?
