Sup guys. I currently own a 1997 GS-T. I've been modding it for about two years now. I got struck by my apartment manager's big ass van in the parking lot and they're going to total it. The car is putting out around 320whp, errr was.

A clean dc2 is one of my options as my next car. I want something a bit more reliable and something that'll take corners well.

One of my questions is, how much does the jdm dc2 whole front end conversion cost?

And the lastly, how are dc2's on the track? How is handling? Thanks!

The teg is a reallty good car and the JDM conversion is way to much money but soooooo damm sexy, any who
sorry to hear about your DSM.
Next rembember the DC2 is still a front wheel drive car not exactly sure what your expecting out of a teg there not AWD or anything so on the track and handling well prob like the GS-T never compaired the 2. last far as i have seen GSR's are hold there own vs. turbo dsm's and they are very reliable cars, well at least i think so just a diff platform with more potential in my opnion

i had a daily driver 96 dc2 GSR and a 99 GSX then the GSR got totaled so i ended up with a 99 GST daily driver. my GSR was very reliable and withstood the punishment i put it through like none other. they handle good because they are light weigth and have unequal length control arm suspension. but so does the eclipse, its just a little heavier. but the eclipse also can swallow alot wider tires. i think the GSR is more reliable and requires less maintenance but the 4g63 is just so easy to get power out of...which i'm sure you're aware of. its all up to you. i had both! :D

welcome to CI fellow DSMer

Thanks alot guys. I'm looking to get one for around $10k. I'm using the mod money from the DSM parts to invest in the GSR. I'll let you guys know. :)

i just bought mine cost me $1600 shipped(no lip tho im buying it serperate)..i live on east coast so its more because no one around here has any in stock like CA..anyway..your gonna look to spend around 1800-2000 used.. if u live out west then you could prolly get one for like 1500 if u pick it up

Jdm Pimpness Yo

I paid 2250 shipped w/ a VIS Carbonfiber hood from Password JDM. The price all depends on what u are looking for. Cuz the think that will make the most diff is the headlight, cuz you have the SIR-G which are chrome Type-R and the Type-R HID. Get ahold of Leo from Passoword JDM if you talk to him he will give you a decent deal. Normaly they charged 600 for shipping to Ohio but he only charged me 250
and he gave me the Type-R at the SIR-G price.

gotta love the trail-braking and lift throttle over steer in the dsm's though. GSR and GST are about equal handling stock. dsm is heavier but except wider tires. they both have double wishbone suspension so they both have great potential. the teg just doen't get sideways on lift throttle or trail braking like the dsm. the ass end is a little more stubborn to rotate. but that only matters in tight autocross style racing or if you just like to act an idiot and get crooked as hell every now and then. teg are awesome though....you'll love it

Welcome 2 the club man. A Teg is 1 of the best cars on a track handling wise and the JDM front end is the only way 2 go for a Teg if you can afford it, cant wait 2 do 2 mine. :hi:

well if you read the latest issue of Grassroots Motorsports, probably the one last good US car magazines. It listed the Acura Integra as the number 1 car to start racing with, and theres a good reason. It's what's convicned me to get a LS teg.
