Door locks are screwed up; can't open driver side door

So I go to get in my car today after having driven it somewhere and my key wouldn't unlock the driver's side door. I proceeded to unlock the passenger door which immediately locked itself again. With a little trickery I ended up getting the door open just before it locked itself. Anyways, the driver's door won't unlock via the automatic lock on either side or the key. What the fuck is wrong?! Help is greatly appreciated since I don't particularly feel like climbing in the passenger side from now on.

nothing from nowhere
keep the window down. jk sounds like your lock cylinder is stuck. try spraying some WD40 in it and work the key back and forth.

use something to open up the little protective flap on top and yes, spray some lubricant inside the locking mechanisim
