Does any one have GOOD reviews on Halo Projector headlights?

Good reviews dont exist. All reviews are bad but they do the job at the price. One halo manufacturer does not = another halo manufacturer. I wont discuss the halo appearance cuz that is pointless. You like it or you dont, i dont care. Im only talking about the build quality and light output.

idk if i'd say that, but it depends on what kind you get. Mine are from Ebay and do the job, but the cut-off line sometimes makes me sad. It's not horrible, but If I had the opportunity to get OEM for cheap or a better set of halos I would. Klutch has a set that is really good, the cut-off is really crisp and looks great

I've seen nothing but bad reviews when I was semi interested in getting a set. Imo if you want better light output get a set of HIDs.

The reason i will never say that they are good or anything more then good for the price is because ive seen the internals and they are cheap sub oem quality. Some do have a good clean cut off but the chrome in the projector bowls are cheap and can burn out/get hotspots quicker. Even oem ones do this but most people dont even realize it. The bulb types are sometimes different than your oem which also means you end up using a cheap replacement bulb. If the halos didnt have halos and instead looked like oem replacements, id totally rock em cuz theyre even cheaper then oem replacements which are $300 a set. Ill even admit ive seen pictures of some with nice cut offs with hid set up but again the hot spots will burn in quickly into the chrome bowls.

I agree with you about them being definitely sub-OEM quality, lol mine have H1 bulbs as the high beams..those are fog light bulbs haha. but I just meant that if the OP really likes the halo look, theres a definite trade off, and maybe try to find a better quality than those from ebay. OR he could just go ahead and put the halos in his OEM lights. there's a lot of youtube videos on how to make your own halos, then he wouldnt be giving up quality

Thats a good suggestion. The potential to achieve a better halo is through custom work. Ive never liked the output light on the aftermarket halos. They just dont look as good as bmw's. The decent halo (talking build quality here) is gonna be made by depot or sonar (if either of them even carry gen3 headlights in a halo) but are usually more pricey cuz of the build quality. Both of those manufacturers are oe replacement manufacturers to begin with. I wasnt able to source one out when i was lookikng for a set or they were too expensive for my project.

I bought my car with halos installed by the previous owner and the light output was horrible. On a foggy night, I really could not see 5ft. in front of me and knew right away to ditch 'em. Other members here that I know liked 'em for a while and had some good light output, but ended up switching back to OEM. Nothing beats OEM.

I have halo projectors and I can say while the halos are freaking cool, the light output isn't the same, even with HIDs. It's actually WORSE with HIDs than a halogen bulb. I have to use H7 bulbs with mine and they're a freaking pain to get in. I'm probably going to try to find either a set of oem-style with halos or just get an oem set and mod them myself.

The light output of the halos themselves sucks but the projectors are good, and the cutoff is nice and crisp, Sonar brand

It was to Crimsonstar.

I dont know if you have a pnp kit or not but if you did the sonar's would probably handle it pretty decently.
