Depends on your goals & the health of the motor but for a simple setup the answer is no.

so i can pre much just slap a turbo on??..but would it fuck my valvesor pistons...coz on the r33s yuh need to decompress the piston n rings
i dont no much about cars

all you would need is a tune...what compression are your pistons?

i wouldnt hava clue ay brought it the way it is far as ino everything is standard i hava spare motor if it blows up anyways.. but i dont wanna blow it up so thats why i wanted to know if im ment to do internal work like pistons n valves things like that...ima noob when it coes to car motors...motorbikes is my thing so i wanna learn more about my carb4 pulling things apart

well a stock LS can hold boost pretty well depending on the health of the motor and what you power goals are (like Havoc said)...you need to figure out the compression of those pistons because the is one determining factor as to how much you can boost it and DD (daily drive) it...check out some of the build threads on here to you can get an idea as to what to look forward to....go check out Havocs build.

oh k true the motor looks pretty strong no weird noises ill have to take it into a shop and get the copression checked to see how it goeswhat a bad compression point for a turbo and im not lookin for 300hp something rediculous just want mine with a turbo so i can take it to powercruise next year

i dont really trust the net but it says the said b18a1 motor is 9.2:1 thats in this clubintegra.com

yea but you have aftermarket pistons in it right?

edit: you had a typo...no it won't mess up your valves or pistons if you don't push too many pounds of boost...you will need a tune tho

i dont know what pistons are in it :( so just put a turbo on it and dont run heaps of boost...if they aint after market pistons is that bad for turbo? sorry for 21 questions

no its not bad for the turbo...depending on the health of your motor it can hold all of 12lbs. from what I've heard, but you don't want to push 12lbs. to a stock motor.Thats asking to blow it up. Most people push like 8lbs. daily driven. you will need a tune and you can't go without a tune. you will most likely spin a rod bearing. I would suggest a dyno tune that way you know how much power you are making and all that good jazz...a tune usually runs about 300-400 and I know if you use Hondata you can either by the hardware from hondata or some tuners sell it too. Tuners also tune off other hardware too like chrome, and neptune...IDK much about tuning but you should read up on that stuff to get a little better idea as to what you are getting yourself into. Don't just go and slap a turbo on your teg because you will ruin it. And remember it costs to make true power so don't go cheap on ANY parts because you will be replacing them...Welcome to CI

so u mean dont just put a turbo on and drive it put the turbo on and get it tuned then i can drive it?sorry im abit slow haha but im learning alot tho :)

Jemel
exactly...put the turbo on (make sure everything is hooked up correctly) and get it towed to a tuning shop and get them to tune it and then you can drive it away...Its cool you won't learn if you don't ask...I would save up until you got the money to buy all the necessary parts and do it all at one time...

Psi does not mean much, 15psi from a 35r & 15 psi from a t25 is WAY different. I'm sure your stock a1 can handle boost if its been treated right. Try using Google man you can learn ALOT from reading ..
