I need to change a tie rod end on my 1990 integra. I've been told that after changing it I need an alignment done and the guy says I need a camber kit in order for it to be done. Is this true? I dont know much so any help help is welcomed and appreciated, thanks.

If its dropped more than an inch yes you need a camber kit. They can be expensive depending on what kind you get. Yes you need an alignment after doing inner or outer tie rods cuzz they have to adjust the camber, and make a toe adjustment its all really common

If he is saying you need a camber kit to get an aligment, walk away, he's just trying to get money out of you. Yes, you can get an alignment without a camber kit. And it is definitely suggested you get a camber kit if you're lowered, but not necessary. I'm lowered about 2-2.5 inches without a camber kit and am only getting a slight amount of camber wear on my front tires.

Lol. I love when they tell you that. Like Cole said above. ^ They always try to push more money out of you. Im lowered 2 in all teh way around and don't need a camber kit. Just tell them to set its as close to stock specs as they can. I have a tiny bit of camber but it isn't noticeable.

Camber will cause minimal wear, but not as much as toe.
Im lowered 2" and no signs of wear for 10k after roations and alignment every 6k. Im anal about maintenance.
