i came across this mod on THIS WEBSITE
it says it should add 3-5 hp not enough to feel but enough to register on the dyno.
i used:
10mil
12mil
dremel with cutting disc and sanding disc
1 hour

i had a little extra time so here it went.

after i cut the ribs off

here is after i sanded bown the rib cuts and made the rest of the cuts.

here is with the box back in and the filter in. you can see how much was cut out.

CAI looks so funny on the RSX because it goes straight down leaves that big huge opening where the box was. but the SRI will hit the streering shaft and crush the filter if you lower the car a little too much

i've had both...no problems with either, for the type S, CAI is ur best friend, worth the money..yea the Cai is a space saver, just have to replace ur washer bottle. usually they come wit it, Injen FTW :thumbs up

my buddy had the AEM SRI but his car was so low it would smack the streering shaft on bumps. so he got the CAI. its ugly but you could tell a big difference even from just stepping up from SRI to CAI on the Type S

watch out in the rain though. the filter sits right behind the opening on driverside of the front bumper
