I looked at a flier today that had a paint gun kit in it for $65. If you can find one for a good price, I'm sure it'll do a way better job.

Yea if you can get a gun and automotive paint it should be a lot better than the can... Small things are of to do with a can though so depending on your skill it can be done - if you look at my build thread I did my mirrors, a spot on the rear bumper and my whole front bumper with a can

Go with the paint gun... I've used them to paint my motorcycles before.not hard to use and definitely better results than a can

You can do it by cans but you have to prep it. primer, paint, clear coat...with sanding in between and wetsanding too. not sure on the actual steps for your lip depending on what material it's made from. but it's similar.

well, i did my car in a flat black/primer look -.- ..and yes i would definitely recommend the spray gun, simply because it saves time and has a better even layout...

my signatures show a little of how it looked rattle canned xD

but im going to redo it this sunday, into a gloss black instead.

There's a few companys that make OEM paint codes in spray cans. I've seen amazing results!

The key is LIGHT even coats! Take your time!

And FYI, front bumper and lip shouldn't be much more than 200 bucks at a reputable shop.

Regardless if your using a spray can or a spray gun, you will have to do the same steps. Cleaning, Sanding.. ect ect, all the prep work is the same.

I don't see the gun being a good investment if you do not intend to paint more than a bumper. If you planned to paint the entire car, then yeah, invest in a gun.
