DC2 vs 2000 Eclipse Gt

Ok, so the other day I was leavin my brothers house, he just got an eclpse gt as a DD, but has been talkin smack to me for a couple weeks about how he thinks he can take me. He is stock, but the car puts out
205hp, all I had at the time was an intake. So finally I had to shut him up. We go down the street for a little while so the gsr can warm up, then make a u turn at a light. Both of us in 1st gear, did a 3 honk, and right when v-tec kicked it was bye bye. We repeated this one more time, same result. Then he wanted to go from a dig, he thought he could get me. We line up at the light, it turns green, and I even bogged my launch. He was next to me until 1st gear v-tec, then it was over once again. Just thought I'd share this with you guys, fun little night

sounds like a close race. but are you sure he can drive? i mean i know how hard those gt's can pull. i test drove a couple of them.

They aren't very fast ^ They are rated about the same as a GSR stock. Low 7's to 60 and a mid 15 quarter mile

It's got torque, so it feels quick. I test drove one with an AEM CAI and it sounded awesome and felt powerfull, but they just aren't....

My buddy's bone stock Scion tC barely lost to a Eclipse GT V6 (with I/E) by 1 car.

My Jetta would walk one easy by like 4 car lengths and I make way less power and torque /w a smaller V6 AND 12 less valves!!!

I want to run one so bad..... Glad you could have the enjoyment of beating him :thumbs up

^ do it... my dad had one and when i turned 16 i took it out one night and i was surprised how slow it was... i got fucking beat to hell by a civic. it was very embarrassing. that is when i knew that i wanted a honda.

yah those eclipse gt's im assuming your referring to the 00+ year? Slow cars and heavy, i use to take them in my old gs-r all the time
