dc header for gsr on ls

does a dc header for a gsr fit on a ls? or are all b series headers the same? i've heard both?

Keep It Clean
94-01 b18B1 and 00-01 b18C1 headers will fit.

The B18C1 header is shorter and won't hook up to the cat.
Get a DC header made for the SE, GS, LS, RS:)

It'll bolt up to the head, but it won't end right where the stock LS cat is.

ITR header will bolt up to the B18B1. This is what I was running before I did the VTEC head swap.

so it wont meet up to the cat correctly but it will bolt to the head fine.....? i can just fab up a test pipe to meet up with the outlet side right.......or is the header and test pipe going to create backpressure problems? my cat is already melted and beginning to go to hell. so i was thinking of just using a test pipe i have and using this TRUST muff. but i am worried a little about back pressure....

you should be fine my buddies da goes from headers to strait pipe to coffee can muffler.
he has no problems
oh he has the ls/vtec swap-your setup should be fine

it does not fit and a blox adjustable test pipe isnt long enough for a gsr header with ls piping

ok so it will fit it wont fit i guess what we have come to is see what i come up with.........lol
i can fab up a pipe to run from header back my main concern is backpressure with not being able to use the cat its going to be pretty straight through i mean i can throw in a resonator maybe.....? im gonna try to get her on tomorrow ill post the results

94-01 LS, 00-01 GSR and Type R headers will all bolt straight up

The 94-99 GSR will not. It is shorter than the rest.

Another word GSR is 4.5" shorter then the B18B1/ITR. To make it fit you have to extend the mid B pipe about 4.5" long.

thats what i needed to hear i guess...... im just gonna throw a resonator in there and straight to the trush muff. and away with that damn feline. my main concern is being to loud so im hoping the resonator does the job $120 for a high flow cat is a little ridiculous in my opinion.

im leaving to throw that muff on now with stock piping besides the 2 1/4 cat back and see how that sounds thus far.
ill update with a clip tonight
