DB8 Reconstruction Project

Ok, so this car has been through hell since I got it. I bought it back in 2006 clean as a whistle. Since then it has gotten more dents than I can count, has had more things break than I can count and here I am, still rebuilding it. I guess that's called love.

Here's a list of all the dents I got up til now:

2008 - A lady backed into my driver's side doors where both doors meet.

2008 - A delivery truck backed up over the front of my car and cracked my headlight, made a circular indentation on the bumper with the hot tailpipe, slightly dented the hood.

2009 - I was late for work and cut the corner of the driveway too close and scraped the whole passenger side on the steel bumper of my dad's work van. I ruined both doors and the back wheel well.

2010 - An apple fell on my car from a tree and dented the right fender.

2010 - Angry, jealous ex-bf dented up my right quarter panel and the left corner of my trunk.

Everything that broke and I replaced/am replacing:

Inner/outer tie rods DONE
Distributor coil DONE
Right axle (snapped) DONE
Left axle DONE
Slave cylinder/master cylinder for clutch DONE
Emergency brake cable (snapped) DONE
Radiator DONE
Spark plugs/wires DONE
Rear motor mount REPLACING
Power antenna (broke off) REPLACING
Cat Converter rattling REPLACING
Rear trailing arm bushings REPLACING
Front wheel bearings REPLACING
Muffler REPLACING
Headers REPLACING
Cracked front headlight REPLACING
Passenger side door handle/lock (from break-in) REPLACING

Everything I've done so far has been OEM up to this point except for my clutch which is an Exedy Stage 1 performance clutch. I don't have a lot of pictures right now because I only took a few when I was pissed about my quarter panel. I decided to make this thread when it happened to be dark outside. Figures. So here's what I have and I'll post more tomorrow when it's light out. I've finally taken the plunge and decided to rebuild instead of giving up. I'm very slow with rebuilding, but you gotta start somewhere.

That's all for now, tomorrow I'll take more. Let me know what you guys think and any suggestions for fixes/adds. Thanks.

I just checked out your build thread dude and your original pictures are like an exact replica of what mine looked like. Holy shit it's scary. No spoiler, same wheels, same color, pin stripe, every single thing except for the year, mine is a 97. Good shit man. I like. :thumbs up

I spent 110$ on two front wheel bearings.

Labor will be about another 50+ depends if you take the whole spindal assembly off yourself.
