db2 steering and vibration problems

To start off in the last month I've replaced shocks, all bushings, rotors, left axle, upper ball joints, tires and tie rods plus got an alignment and I still have this terrible vibration in any gear and at any speed. The steering is also loose as hell, but only while driving. Sitting still seems fine. I have to basically fight it at highway speeds to keep it straight because of the play. It tends to wonder alot and I'm simply lost at what the hell could be causing all of this. I know its probably not one thing causing everything. I need help guys.

Yes, the hubs and wheel bearings are good. When its jacked up everything is tight. no play or movement in anything that I can find whatsoever. I've went through and replaced every stock piece of rubber under the car with energy suspension bushings and I double checked everything as I went.

Well, I would've said sterring arm bushings but you said you replaced them already. I know you say the berrings are tight, but I would start there for sure. Replace both drivers side and passenger berrings and see if the problem is better, worse or the same. This will help u know if you're in the right area. You said it could be multiple things...you have to start with the obvious.

Looking for my next Teg..
CV axles are good? are the wheels properly balanced?

take it to a different alignment shop to have it all verified.

When I'm driving down the road, it almost feels like something is separating. Out of no where the steering wheel will just take off and the car goes where the hell it wants to. I can't keep it in a straight line. I'ts to the point where I'm afraid to drive it especially on the interstate and its my only car. Like I said before, When its jacked up nothing feels loose. Everything including the bearings seem ok. I'm stuck.

Do you still have play in the steering wheel after you jack up your car? You move the steering wheel and then it takes a bit of a turn for it to finally start moving the wheels? Use to have play in my steering wheel, but replaced my steering rack later. They seam to wear out in the center more. Also Have you checked all your Linkage from your steering wheel to your Steering Rack. And Check all the other stuff they mentioned above too.

sitting still and jacked up the steering feels decent, no play really. Only when driving does it feel loose. It seems like something shifts even when straight and causes the steering to jerk.

So it shakes really bad in the steering wheel? and did you get a 2 wheel or 4 wheel alignment, because I know my car shakes because I haven't aligned it yet.

Also your cars Wheels do they fit centered on the hub or do you need the lug nuts to center your wheel?
I had shaking caused by that because I didn't have a proper spacer, so I had to tighten down the lug nuts real carefully which reduced steering wheel shake at speed.

Make sure the rack is bolted down and secure. No warn out bushings holding the rack in?

Have you tried running the car up on jack stands, in gear and turning the wheel?

Checked the ball joints with a jack under the lower control arm? because sometimes lifting up the car can make lose ball joints appear tight.

Perhaps this will help you

I have hub centric rings in my wheels. No play there. I also replaced the steering rack bushings when I did the others and just double checked to make sure everything was tight. Checked ball joints and everything. I dont believe the vibration is caused by the samething thats causing the crazy steering considering it didnt start at the same time. sitting still and with the car on I can turn the steering wheel and there is no play. It moves in any increment the way that it should but when going down the road its all over the place. The steering shifts and almost feels like the wheels is pulling away from the car. It's really hard to explain.

No. But it does still kinda float side to side. It seems like the power in the steering wheel shifts from side to side and the car floats. Sounds dumb as hell but I don't know of a better way to put it.

RE Edit:
Ok before I start jumping off on tangents and stuff.

What is the last few things you did to your car before this started happening, Even if you think they are unrelated list them or a month or 2 off or more.

Some Things you may want to check.
Also are your tires Round, lift the car up and spin them cheep tires can some times be out of round.

Bad proportioning valve? or what sends power to make it turn easier one direction than the other?

Have you tried running the car with the drive wheels off the ground and see if the shaking goes away?
Also Check your tire tread for straightness, when their turning to make sure the tread isn't weaving back and forth on you, that can mess with your steering and tracking too.

EDIT: on another note, Have you at all checked out your rear suspension? I remember when my trailing arm bushings the big ones in the center where bad, the car wobbled a lot when cornering, so check your rear suspension too.

I uploaded the steering section to http://rpgwofan.comyr.com/integra/17 - Steering.pdf

http://rpgwofan.comyr.com/integra/18 - Suspension.pdf

If you live near Denver, Co I may be able to come check your car out.

It all started happening before I replaced anything and is gradually getting worse. I've replaced the shocks, ALL bushings front to back. rotors, drivers side axle, skunk2 front upper control arms(camber kit) and the tires are brand new bfg sport comp 2's. I've raised it up and watched the front tires roll without seeing any problems. The vibration is annoying but I'm more worried about the steering issue. I live in Salem, Virginia.
