DA Cluster not working..Speedo cable?

Well i just bought a da and the owner told me that all i needed to do was fix the "speedo cable" from the cluster..Can someone tell me where this cable is or looks like? and would that one reason disable the gas,temp,etc needles too?

I had the speedo cable pop out on me before... It's only for the speedometer and odometer. It doesn't affect the temperature or fuel gauge... I think thats a electrical issue sir.

The speedo cable goes from the firewall to the front of the transmission under the distributor.

U have to remove the bezel to acces it. Best hint is to unplug the cable from the tranny. Dont lose the clip. Unplug it all and pull the cluster forward replug in the cable reasemble it. Then plug in the cable into the tranny last

Yeah like none of my other gauges work at all...that's why it sounded kinda funny that i was looking to repair a speedo cable..0.o

Also, What do i need to pass the emission test for inspection? the only thing i'm missing is a cat...i have unknown brand headers,dc intake,straight pipe,unknown brand muffler. if you need me to take pics of my engine bay i will..
