What's up Import Tuners! I am happy and proud to become part of integraclub. This is my first thread and I hope to get good responses from you. I have been driving my integra legally on the streets of L.A. for about four months now. The reason I say legally is because I originally wanted the car just for track use only but have decided to make it a daily driver. The engine I have swamped into this car is the original B18A1 set up but this engine and transmission came out of another DA that was wrecked from the rear. The engine was sponsored to me by one of my closest friends that came up on the wrecked car as an included auto- labor compensation. When he came up on the car he knew the owner who had the car set up as a FF Drift Car. Anyways to cut a long story short I was very fortunate to come up on a strongly built engine and tranny for my stock DA. I finished the installation of the powerplant and it runs ok. I do have problems though when it comes to acceleration especially in the morning when I have warmed up the car and start my driving day. When I start my driving day I feel hesitation on all gears of acceleration. After the car as been put into different gears of the start up day I feel the car recover its power during accelaration. Basically I feel the car jolt forward in the middle of my accelaration like if it had nos. The car is supposed to give my 100 feedback after I have warmed up the car but give me about 75% of its power responsewhen I push the throttle. I wanted to ask for suggestions as far as what do you think can it be that holds my power back. I have changed the spark plugs/wires., airfilter, oi/filterl change, fuel filter. But still can not find the problem. Manifold trouble? Fuel injection?(No check engine light on car) Naturally Aspirated Integra DA I would appreciate the feed back Thanks. I Love my DA!

Have you checked the timing?
My DA that was a former turbo setup (Now stock) pulls pretty hard from the line in the morning when I'm on the way to work.
But the power doesn't seem to kick in until around 4-5k on the tach. First gear always screeches the wheels....I need to learn how to shift right...lol.

i think its just how the b18a is. ill have good power through first. but if i shift early in 2nd and floor it. It feels like vtec kicking in about 5k rpms. its how the torque curve is. at least that was my final conclusion.

Lol. Yeah the powerband for the engine is solid. I think I have found the problem. PCV system failure. The plastic valve is broken. Going to replace it see how it works out.I

If the PCV is broken there's a good chance you have a vacuum leak- that can seriously effect engine performance. As for the engine itself, it has no acceleration. B18a1's are gutless piles of crap. Boost it and then talk about acceleration, lol.
