cv joint BROKE!!

so i bought 1990 intefra rs with a jdm b20 motor. and the guy said it has a gsr tranny. well my driverside cv joint (axle) broke. well ive replace the passenger side cv joint with no problem but i cant get the driverside cv joint off. idk how to get it out. any help?

Well where are you at in terms of taking that side apart?

On mine there was a little ring around the end of the part that mates with the trans that u have to get to line up perfectly. It took me forever in driver side passenger side was cake

He isn't trying to put it in. Get a decent size prybar and put in between the trans and the Cv shaft and wrestle with it, and it should come out.

You don't need to pull the half shaft out of the trans. Just take the assembly apart at the joint of the half shaft and axle. Spray some penetrating oil at the mating of the half shaft and axle, let it set for a while, then pop it out with a pry bar.
