Crower cam questions

So I have a stock b18a1 besides the lower compression pistons. I heard crower 403's were good for street use especially since I don't have higher compression for the 404's.

What's the opinion on just throwing in the 403's with adj gears? Or what cams would be good to make up for my loss of torque without having too much strain on my stock valve train?

The previous owner put them in cuz he was going to run a turbo setup. And with the lower comp pistons it would be easier to tune. I don't wanna redo the bottom end so just wanted to put more aggressive cams with a decent tune to give me back my loss in compression and maybe more but without too much strain on the valve train.

some Bc stage 1 cams might do the trick but i wouldnt wanna run them on a stock head to be sure you should get valve springs an retainers and get the most out of your cams

Those cams (crower 403's) are going to respond much better with higher compression.

If I were you, and didnt want to modify the bottom end, I would ignore the cams and turbo the car.

If you really want to put in some cams, then get those low compression pistons out of there, or the cams arent going to do much for you. Certainly not anything noticeable for $300 (plus another $300 for springs/retainers for the 403's).
