crankcase evacuation?

So the turbo build is almost complete and i had one more question for those of you who are already boosted. I was reading another thread about how the pcv valve supposedly closes under boost, my question is are all of you turbo'd guys running the oil catch pans in your cars? and am i correct in assuming you just tap two npt holes in the valve cover and run the lines to the catch pan? also will the pressure from the oil pan/crank side vent out of the valve cover or do i need to take off my vapor canister and run the line directly to the catch pan from the lower block? and is all this catch pan stuff actually needed? thanks for the help.

stop saying catch pan, it sounds retarted. a catch can is not necessary, but i highly recommend one if you want the motor to last. without them, your piston rings will take a beating. your engine is setup with oil gallies that run from the oil pan all the way to the head, so any pressure in the motor can be vented thru the valve cover. you can leave the pcv system on the back of the motor, it will help pull out any vapors during normal driving (i took mine off originally, but will probably leave it next time). there are a few ways to do the catch can setup. if you are broke, drill some holes and tap the valve cover with some push fittings so you can run some rubber hose to any kind of can. if you got money, then pick out one of these and use AN fittings.

I also bought a catch can from B&R Fittings. And yes he's a cool guy...threw some -12 fittings on my can instead of -10 for no additional charge :)
