cold air intake...

Which cold air intake is a direct fit onto a 94 gsr? I did an ls vtec swap and obviously the head is from a 94 so I.was curious of which intake would be direct fit and most powerful. Help is appreciated!

An after market intake for a gsr :what: I don't see where the confusion is. Power gains are pretty much the same, just get a cheap tube and good filter (like aem or K&N)

that's what i have! what is happening is the side where the filter is the battery is in the way... what do you suggest? i was kinda thinking cutting & customizing it to fit... how do you load up pics that way i could show you exactly what's goin on?

Sounds like u might have an ls Cai...it should have a slight lift in it off the TB....

Your profile says you have a 92 teg... If that's the case, you need to get a 92-93 gsr intake

I'm gonna try that as far as getting one for a DA but being that the throttle body is different sizes wouldn't that mean it wouldn't fit? If not I'm gonna try & just fabricating the one I have... I'll post a pic when I can

No, what size throttle body do you have? The coupler between the two will compensate for any difference, the outsides are the same with throttle bodies, it's the insides that are bored out anyway. And prolly easier to get a cheap one off Craigslist or eBay, but go for it

Ok thanks Bro! I believe I have an LS throttle body off of a 95... Another problem I ran into with install was that the piping would sit up to high enabling the hood to shut! I was also thinking of with the customization instead of the normal filter using a mushroom or velocity stack?! What do u think?

Yea you'll have no issue with throttle body size.... Get the right intake tube and you shouldn't have an issue with hood clearance. And for filter, HKS makes a good mushroom filter, forget what it's called, aem, and K&N are also good brands for just filters

Thanks again Bro! I bought 2 intakes! The first one i kno for a fact was for a 94 gsr the second one if i remember was for my DA so I'm gonna fool around wit that tomorrow! But I'm still having issues wit the filter placement because the battery is in the passenger side front on DA's which is where the filter will go so that's why I was debating about the stack or mushroom...

It looks awesome! I think my piping is wrong but im gonna double check when i.get off work tonight & I will post it... By the way your car is dope as fuck!
