Clutch replacement cost

I was wondering how much it would cost me to replace my oem clutch?

Its about 150-160 bucks if I purchase the clutch kit myself.

How much should resurfacing the flywheel cost?

How much should installation on the clutch be?

Thanks

Hmm... Expensive :p

My throwout bearing needs to be replaced.

Also when im at a redlight and push in the clutch all the way down and put it into first the RPMs drop lower than idle(750 +/- 50) I think around 400-500...

That is a great price. I just got quoted 300 for labor today, but the clutch, P plate and TOP bearing would probably be another 2-250 I think. Very tempted to try this myself but I am not that confident and I am a little intimidated trying it on jack stands.

do it yourself so you can gain experience doing it. its a pretty easy to do. just breaking the bolts takes a while.

i'm in need of replacing a clutch sometime in the near future also..... For that high of a labor cost, i'm seriously considering doing it myself! Jeesh!

Exedy Stage1 FTW!

Im prolly gonna just do that. I have 60k on original clutch. I think I just need a new throw out bearing.

My stock clutch lasted 184k miles.

Shops charge way too much for changing a clutch IMO. If you've never done it before then I would just get a shop manual, find a good write up, find a friend who has done a clutch before and buy a case or two of beer.
