clutch peddle spring ..removed (pics inside) help asap

this was took out today at my mechanics, he said it was loose, and needed to be replaced, so he did something now it drives better then before, the reason i took it to him the begin with, the peddle got really loose, didnt want to come back up sometimes, and it was loose

now its tight and coming back better then before what do u guys think

what did he do?
and that happened to me ... theres these 2 like tiny like plastic pin holes that go into the pedal where the ends assemble you might need if yours fell out when the spring did
