Okay this has become really frustrating with the gauge covers... so I decided I want to go LED with the backlights... What bulbs do I get, and what bulbs do I have to change... Are they all the big ones in the back or are there small ones too? Also does the led get them good. like would these work well or the other one or the other one lol

The Leds you are looking at are not very powerful. They have a good viewing angle, but are certainly not as bright as say, a white incandescent bulb. I had ordered the same ones you have posted from the website I linked, in red, white, and amber(yellow) and was very disappointed in the brightness.

I then got the 5led bulbs, which put out more light and brightened up the cluster much more. I suggest getting the 2.99 ones at a minimum, otherwise I would suggest the 5.95 bulbs.

It will be the 3 big ones. There should be one on the left, one centered, and one on the right. Yes I was much happier with the 5led bulbs compared to the first ones I bought. I didnt have any clear incandescent bulbs to compare to, I had thrown them out quite a while ago. I did get some amber incandescent bulbs to replace the ones from the link you posted, and they were 100x brighter. You may want to just try to get some clear incandescent bulbs from an autoparts store or walmart, and see if you are happy with them first. They should only be like 1.00 a peice, and you dont have to pay shipping ;)

well i have clear ones and I don't like it... its not bright I want it really bright. but your sure they are the big ones you don't need any more? like what about the small one on th back thats top mid left that has the wires going to the outside of the cluster to see the needles don't they do anything? what are those small bulbs called?

The small bulbs are going to be for the notification lights in the cluster. The turnsignals, the abs light (if you have one), CEL, Oil light, low gas light, etc. If you want, take a picture of the back of the cluster and I may be able to point out which ones you need to change. The needles feed off of the light thats put out from the 3 main bulbs, they should have a peice of plastic that distributes the light to them, under the gauges.

Well before I took this one out... there was no lights in the needles so thats why I figured they have that overlay lighting so you can see it.. but if there is suppose to be lit up by the 194 I will just try that first... I am gonna hold you to that lol j/k So I will just get the 3 194's before this guy had blue led and it wasn't that bright. but they were those flat top with clear all the way through it

You mean this one to get?

Im working off of what I believe to be the cluster set up for a 2nd gen, as I have a 3rd gen.

Cool white is going to have a bluish tint, natural is going to be more "pure" white, and warm is going to be a little yellowy.
