I intend to clean it at least once a week. Sometimes that isn't possible because of rain. I use Meguiars Gold Class car wash, but I'll use Mothers's car wash, too. I like the Mothers better because it smells like gum and it suds up a little more than the Meguiars, Meguiars smells like a bar of Dial soap, but they're both some of the best soap you can get for a car so you can't go wrong either way. I wash using a Chenille wash pad, lukewarm bucket water. I use my newer, cleaner wash pad for the top and middle of the car and use an older wash pad for along the bottom of the car, in the wheel wells and for the rims. If there's no rain in the forecast for a few days, I'll wipe the whole car down with Meguiars microfiber towels to eliminate water spots, she really looks good after that!
To give the Teg the 4 star wipedown treatment takes about an hour, sometimes I just don't have that level of motivation. It ususally over 80 degrees outside with a 70 degree dewpoint on those days, hehehe.
I've never sent the Teg through a car wash in the 5 years I've owned it. Why bother when I can do a better job for free myself? I'm even out there in the dead of winter washing it by hand whenever there's a day above freezing. It pisses off a certain neighbor of mine because it creates ice on the ground, but f**k him. I pay $750 a month in rent and I intend to enjoy every benefit of that rent I can.
