Changing HID bulbs

is bulb change out the same as oem? i just need HID bulbs. i'm going to look now but i don't know much about the bulbs

well do you have a Kit or a retrofit? if you have a kit then you'll need the replacement bulbs for the kit(generally 9006 AMP connection bulbs) if you have a retrofit you'll need the bulbs for the retro, now depending on what setup you'll have you may need D2S or D1S bulbs.

I don't know the differences between those two. The bulb is just in the standard oem housing and is just wired into the housing. When I went to remove the bulb I was shocked to see this little bulb in there. I went to the car parts store and it looked like the bulbs they use on fog lights. except you can just twist them in and out of the oem housing like oem bulbs. Sorry I'm retarded when it comes to HID. I do know that they are 6k due to when I took off the bumper i saw the casing for the system.
