Changing a clutch

I have read all I can here, and the HOW-TO's/TECH doesn't seem to work. Is there someone here that can chat with on changing a clutch from first hand experience.

word. my clutch is real deep and it is a little sticky no pun intended, but its really hard to be smooth with it. any help? mainly i want my clutch to be about half as deep because it engages high anyway, nothing catches for 3/4ths of the clutch depth
