Changind the window motor - a few questions

I just replaced the passenger door on my 97 integra. The power locks and side mirror work fine... but the window wont roll down so I assume that the window motor is shot. I am going to tale the motor out of the old door because i know for a fact it works and replace it. The question is....

I herd the window has to be down... the window on the old door is all the way up and off the car as well as the new door on the car. The window is all the way up.

How do I get to the window motor? I looked for a DIY but didn't find one. Is there a photo on here somewhere so I have an idea what Im looking for?? And if I have to have the window down, how far, and how do I get them both down to swap with nothing working?

THANKS

You have to remove the glass. The glass is held on to the brackets with 10mm bolts. You can access them through holes in the door frame.

Don't assume that the motor is bad. Changing the motor is a real PITA, and a dirty job. Follow the troubleshooting procedure in the repair manual. I recommend downloading the Helms from Honda hookup, but even the Haynes manual should have it.

x2 on trouble shooting first. There's not much space there, had to do that a while ago on a buick, sliced my hands to high hell.
