Center Console Help

so i got my center console and armrest for 60 in pretty good condition

the shifter was a manual so i removed the shiftboot and the metal plate under that and its not fitting perfectly around my auto shifter is there anything else i have to go to make it a clean fit ???

see on the top right how its not fitting right for some reason ?? anyone know whati could do
