cel 21 help

hey guys i need help whit this i drope a b18b1 on a 95 gsr shell so now everything is working good the only think is that i have the code 21 that is the vtec but my engine dont have one and i have to take the car to smog will this affect or not pass for that how can i delete any ideas:roll:

plug up a obd1 LS ecu and you should be good to go... no cel.
the ecu is looking for vtec sensors that you dont have on that motor...
I figure cels cause the motor to throw numbers that cause people to fail, but then ive heard of people passing inspections with them on.

if you have a cel light on, it will fail smog no matter what... Get someone with a scanner (le me), delete it, drive around for a while and see if it comes back on. If it doesnt, smog it quick!

If he keeps the Vtec ECU in there it will continue to throw the code. He needs to just pick up an LS ECU.

or clear your code, by disconnecting the neg terminal for 2mins....
but its gonna come back for sure...its looking for the vtec solinoid(b18b is non vtec) code21
also.. its only gonna throw 1 code at a time. so say if you got this code fixed...then it would throw code for the knock sensor, then code 22 (vtec pressure switch).
You need a ls ecu (obd 1 to plug into your harness)
I think like a p75-a01

So, your ecu culd be used for a vtec application...? Or it can't since its obd2? My car is obd1

and what engine are you using mine is obd1 to but when i bought the shell the guy trow the ecu to so that is the one i have
but since i need smog check i have to get the ls ecu the non vtec one
