Hey. I want to dye my carpet. I heard it's a two step dye. You Dye it white, then you dry it the color you want.
I'm looking to buy some dye, but i can't believe that is is $80 a can online.
Has anyone dyed their carpet before?
I Want to dye it white, then dye it black.
thanks for reading

why would you want to dye it white and then black? but I'm in the same position I'm about to dye my carpet black as well I haven't decided what I want to use yet but so far duplicolor vinyl and fabric paint works but It wont stay very soft is the only issue. Like the OP said has anyone dyed their carpet and had good success Ive seen a few threads on it but would like to know if someone first hand had success with it. Cause I can also just get black carpet for 20 bucks.

If you can get a black carpet for twenty bucks just do that lol.

I think your more so "bleaching" the carpet white, not really dying it. But again, why not just get a new carpet? I'm sure you can find a junkyard carpet or a craigslist carpet and just clean it.
