SORRY FOR BEING SO LONG: Well here's the story i have a 1990 Acura Integra GS with a b18a1 engine swap ( 1992 integra engine) i just brought about a month or two ago and I'm noticing the temp gauge fluctuates a lot from C to H, I've been ignoring this until recently my car has been getting closer and closer to redlining H. I finally decide to take a look under the hood with a trusted friend of mines and he points out there is no sensor on top of the thermostat housing, (not sure exactly what the sensor is called) so I'm guessing the guy before me took it out -__- for reasons i do not know. . . so what reading im getting is basically the engine bay temp not the actual temp of the engine. So i take it the car would be fine as long as i topped the rad with antifreeze. So on my graduation day (just graduated from high school recently) i take about a 20 -30min highway drive to my location after i topped the rad with antifreeze. And I'm sorta just ignoring my temp gauge as i figure engines get hot that's just what they do, hats not the actual temp. After my ceremony i take about a 30min drive maybe more and i notice my car is been redlining H for a while and i start to smell brunt antifreeze and smoke coming from my engine bay so i pull over and notice the coolant reservoir cap blasted off so there's coolant all over my engine -__-, i clean up my bay and siphon out some antifreeze as i figured i may have but to much in and put that into the radiator which for some reason isn't topped off anymore, i add more antifreeze, maybe about a liter or 2 as that was all i had at the moment and figured that should be good for the moment so i was unable to top it off, so i let my car cool down. i proceeded to the restaurant i was going too which was about another 10-15 mins when i pull up to a red light and noticed a repeat of last time with smoke coming from my engine bay, just without the coolant reservoir blasting off, i pulled over and me and my friend's saw that the smoke was coming from an area near the lower rad hose/ thermostat area, i wasn't sure what was causing the overheating or smoke but i decided i should get this thing home which was about a 30-45 min ride home, i took it easy as i could and i noticed even through all this i did have throttle response and about 3/4 of the way home the CEL came on and i noticed more smoke, about 3mins from my house i hit a red light, and from here everything turns to s***. . . i noticed and insane amount of smoke and low rpms followed by the oil warning light coming on, it felt like my car was gonna die so i quickly pull over, shut it off, and opened the hood, after a while of letting the smoke clear i remember the oil light coming on so i put some oil in the car and make my way home. Next morning, the car started up fine, though i didnt move it, (decided to take the bus to work) but i did notice a bit of some fluid leaking from what looked like the bottom oil, ( or maybe some fluid that mixed with all the grime down there, but i dont know. What should i do? At this point i know the car is low on coolant and all, but obviously something else is wrong here. . . (Also noted that i spotted black dots when i topped off'd my antifreeze) HELP! i dont want to lose my first teg like this (Also after this i pulled the codes of my CEL and got 6,12, and 43)
