So it was running fine before this installation...something broke and not it doesn't work. Seems like you need to get whatever is broken replaced first.

Well if you broke something, there's a big chance that's the cause of a problem, thats just common sense. But the thing with adding an IM is that people don't realize that you're factory ecu is not programmed to have an aftermarket IM. And what people's mistake is that they never get a tune just because they think that an IM is a simple bolt-on when it actually isn't, you have to get a tune for it to work properly. That's why most tuners go for a whole setup rather than just adding an IM, like cams and TBs that would compliment the IM. This is just one cause of your problem. Another might be your throttle cable. Did you adjust it after putting on the TB?

If it aint broke, upgrade
if its a gsr motor you'll need a chipped p28 using an aftermarket intake manifold.. but if its an oem IM then p72 should work.. but if one of the vacuum hoses is broke off.. thats your problem..

Kind of thread jacking but what if you were to use a p72 with an aftermarket IM? Would it throw a CEL because it can't open the secondaries?

sounds just like a vacuum leak

sounds like you didn't put them back on properly

mine does same when i installed the boost gauge. leaks a little tiny bit

you would be not idiling.. and yes cuz the secondary butterflies wont open properly.. or in time...

What do you mean they wouldn't open properly or in time? There wouldn't BE any secondaries..lol.

Wait... What?
you just need to replace what you broke and get a tune... reguardless of what ecu you have.
