It'll work.
When you go to edit your signature, instead of uploading the pic in the signature picture section, use the 'edit signature' section above it for text then type the following code (without the spaces between the address and the IMG tags)

In other words it would look like this [lMG]http://your_image_address.jpg[/lMG]
