cams for a JRSC setup

hey everybody..

i'm going to be ordering a jrsc for my gsr, but before installing it, i've been planning to get it intercooled by LHT. i've talked to the guys there, and they're REALLY nice guys. we were on the phone for a good 30 minutes or so talking about the intercooled jrsc setup.

but my question is... anybody have a certain preference of cams for a supercharger? i'm assuming since its f.i. i'll need turbo cams or something similar, for the whole valve overlap deal. also, any estimates on hp numbers for a 10psi jrsc setup on mild f.i. cams?

thanks everybody

thanks for the graph ominous... considering its an evans tuning graph, i think its safe to say that its pretty reputable and accurate.

now.. theoretically, how much would that powerband change with the crower turbo cams?

It should add a decent chunk of power toward the top. Those cams will flow much better at higher RPM's than the stock cams

BTW, on a DOHC engine overlap can be adjusted with adjustable cam gears so that's not much of a primary focus if you're getting it dyno tuned anyway

thats what i thought too man.. thanks for all the input and help guys. i really appreciate it. i dont know what time it is where yall are at but it makes me smile that i can get answers at 2 a.m. haha.

anyways, yeah i always wondered why i ALWAYS came across peoples dyno graphs, and setups where they'd just have i/sc/h/e but no valvetrain work. i'm just really curious now, because i feel like thats going to be my new direction.

Most turbo cams don't put alot of seat pressure down on the springs so your not going to have to worry about floating a valve. Also your not changing your rev limit so it's usually not a priority. Although I will always reccomend springs and retainers when replacing cams.

There's no cams on that car with the dyno sheet posted, right? Just the mods that Omi posted?

Edit: By no cams I mean like aftermarket cams.

i doesnt look like the graph that ominous posted had cams in the car. or, it wasnt listed.

but i was wondering, what kind of numbers would the motor make if the car in ominous's graph had the itr/gsr cam setup (recommended by LHT), hytech header or equivalent, and a 70mm or 2.5" exhaust.. and a sri...
