Its pretty easy. You need to take off the bumper, but that only takes a few minutes. Heres a walk though:

There are several bolts on the top of the bumper, holding it to the radiator support. They are black phillips head screws. Remove these. There are two bolts underneath the car bolting the bumper to the underside. These are 12mm i believe. And there are also two screws in the fenders- towards the front. You may need to move the fender liner out of the way to get to them. I think there is one in each wheel well. After those are removed, the bumper should come right off. Make sure you unplug the lights from the turn signals. After that, start by removing all of the stock intake parts. There is a big black plastic box- the resonator, that needs to come out, as well as all of the other parts that you can see from the engine bay. From there, slide in the CAI without the filter, and bolt it to the throttle body. Connect the PCV hose (the only hose that goes to the intake arm) and bolt on the filter. Put the bumper back on, and youre done!

I didn't need to take off the front bumper to install my AEM CAI, or my Comptech Icebox. You just need to take off the front passenger side wheel, then take off the fender liner and the splash guard that run across the underside of the engine bay, and you can get at everything you need to from there. Taking off the whole bumper isn't necessary.

so if you take off the front bumper you dont have to jack up your car and remove the rim. so that a good thing?

Taking the bumper off requires 2 people unless you've done it before. Jacking the one side up and pulling the rim off takes like 2 min. Theres less of a chance of messing something up-especially for someone who doesn't know their car. The AEM cai takes about 30-45 min to install (tops) on your first attempt. Its probably the easist power adder to install next to plugs and wires.

I just remembered something that really sucked about installing the AEM CAI, you need to drain your coolant first because you need to get rid of this:

One of those pipes has coolant flowing through it, the other just runs air from the valve cover to the intake arm. AEM supplies rubber hoses to replace both of them. This was how it was for the origional AEM CAI, don't know if it's the same for a AEM CAI V2 install.

sorry about the huge pic everyone, lol.

I forgot about that. You don't need to drain your coolant. Just be quick about it. They give you a hose to route from the motor up to the throttle body. Disconnect the part by the motor first. If you time it right you won't lose too much. I woulndt bother draining your coolent though. Any you spills just going to burn up right away.
