There are several bolts on the top of the bumper, holding it to the radiator support. They are black phillips head screws. Remove these. There are two bolts underneath the car bolting the bumper to the underside. These are 12mm i believe. And there are also two screws in the fenders- towards the front. You may need to move the fender liner out of the way to get to them. I think there is one in each wheel well. After those are removed, the bumper should come right off. Make sure you unplug the lights from the turn signals. After that, start by removing all of the stock intake parts. There is a big black plastic box- the resonator, that needs to come out, as well as all of the other parts that you can see from the engine bay. From there, slide in the CAI without the filter, and bolt it to the throttle body. Connect the PCV hose (the only hose that goes to the intake arm) and bolt on the filter. Put the bumper back on, and youre done!
lol....mines unhooked but chillin there...lolTegSox said:I just remembered something that really sucked about installing the AEM CAI, you need to drain your coolant first because you need to get rid of this:
One of those pipes has coolant flowing through it, the other just runs air from the valve cover to the intake arm. AEM supplies rubber hoses to replace both of them. This was how it was for the origional AEM CAI, don't know if it's the same for a AEM CAI V2 install.
sorry about the huge pic everyone, lol.
hahha same here...now it's back to stock because i took out my aem v2...that's funny i just left mine too lol8urcivic said:lol....mines unhooked but chillin there...lol
